Absolutely not. Professional tooth whitening has been researched for over 60 years. The gels we use are pH-neutral and enamel-safe. They do not "strip" the tooth; they simply lift the pigment from the pores.
Some patients experience mild, temporary sensitivity to cold during the treatment. This is normal and transient. We can provide desensitising gels and the sensitivity stops as soon as the treatment is finished.

No. Whitening gels only affect natural tooth structure. If you have existing crowns or veneers on your front teeth, they will remain their original shade while your natural teeth get lighter. We often recommend whitening before replacing old crowns to match the new, brighter shade.
